About Sifu Laurens Kam To Lee
Sifu Laurens Kam To Lee studied Tai Chi Chuan with the late Grandmaster
Tchoung Ta Tchen of the Chinese Tai Chi Chuan Association of Canada. He is now the President of the Association.
Teaching Tai Chi Chuan in Greater Vancouver for more
than ten years, Sifu Lee founded the "Kam To Tai Chi Chuan
Association". He is currently the instructor of the Tai Chi Chuan classes in different places in Greater Vancouver.
Sifu Lee helped Grandmaster Tchoung to translate and edit the
book, "The Annotated Theoretical and Practical Tai Chi Chuan".
He traveled to Kitimat and Terrace in B.C., Toronto, and New York
with Grandmaster Tchoung to give workshops on Tai Chi Chuan.
In 1996, he organized a Tai Chi conference named "Tai Chi
Chuan and Modern Lifestyles". The conference, which was
presented jointly by the Chinese Tai Chi Chuan Association of
Canada and the Chinese Cultural Centre of Vancouver, featured
presentations by nineteen Tai Chi Chuan masters from places
throughout North America. In addition, Sifu Lee participated in
organizing the Tai Chi Chuan tournament in Vancouver as well as being a judge. He demonstrated and performed in many
community events, such as the Osoyoos Chinese Arts and Cultural Festival (2003), the Community Day of Roundhouse
Community Arts and Recreation Centre, and the UBC Asian
Library Open House (2006). In May 2006, Sifu Lee presents an
instructional Tai Chi Chuan television series in the program"Morning Exercise" on Fairchild Television.
